14 To make the acorn hat, roll the brown modelling paste into a ball and pinch to hollow out stroking the outside edge to neaten. Pinch up at the top to create a stalk. Check to see if the hat fits properly and if it does stick in position with a little edible glue. If the hat is sitting too high on the head then hollow out further. 16 Dilute a little black food colouring with a drop of water. Using the fine paintbrush, paint her eyes. Paint a small oval-shaped pupil first, and then the eyelid around it, ensuring the eyelid line touches the pupil in the centre. Leave a small, unpainted area on each eye for the highlight. Paint fine eyelashes, three on each eye on the outside corners only. Paint fine arched lines above each eye for eyebrows, taking care not to make them too heavy.
